Change Isn't Half Bad

So today at work, we had a switcheroo day.  Basically we all got different kids than we normally work with.  It was a pretty fun and interesting day.  You got to do some different things.  It was a fun time.  This gave me a thought.  How much change are we as humans willing to embrace?  It seems like more and more people complain about changes and differences in routines than ever before.  There used to be a time when we would jump on board the change train.  It was seen as a sign of enlightenment to look at differences and take them in. What happened to that?  Nowadays, change is seen as a bad thing.  It's like change means ruining someone's life.  It's not that way, people.  Seems like the last few years of politics has been all about change and how bad or good it can be.  The only change that has occurred is the seemingly more intolerant and resistant to change people have become.  The old days, pilgrims took a boat and went about looking for change.  Explorers went all over the world, looking for different lands to inhabit.  Go back to the 1960s, people were all about changing the status quo.  Where is that fire to mix things up?  What happened to wanting to see a shift in life?  Change makes the world go around.  It's what caused a lot of the greatest moments in our history.  Of course now that brings the question, "what should we change?"  It's okay to have that question.  The answer is simple.  It's really up to you.  What should you change?  Whatever is holding you back from being better than you are.  Change your thoughts.  Change your actions.  Whatever causes you problems, that's what you should change.  However the problem is that so many people are so chicken to change that they get stuck in a rut.  Ruts are no good.  If you want to know why you're in the rut that you're in, it's because you refuse to change the things that keep you stuck in that rut.  Yes, it's tough to change.  It's so worth it, though.  Embrace change, people.
