Turn Back Tuesday

Today's blog rewind goes back to a day I got particularly frustrated with anyone in a grocery store.

ENJOY

It seems like a lot of people don't know how to do simple things anymore.  I know people that can't even read an analog clock.  There seems to be a lack of basic skills now.  I just posted a picture of a list of tweets that showed people's lack of knowledge of what a vowel is.  Another set of tweets couldn't believe that a man could be an astronaut, a cyclist, and dead in a week.

There seems to be some stupidity going on here in America.  I don't know who is to blame for it, but I do know that it's not nearly as profitable to be smart.  What happened to people being able to put a quarter in a pay phone when they needed help?  What happened to being able to read a map?  Now we have machines telling us when to turn.

Seems like we don't like doing the hard stuff that our forefathers were known for.  Seems like we just want to be served without being willing to work hard at serving ourselves.  It's time for us to be able to do any and everything put in front of us.  It's time to kick the door of opportunity down and get at it.  With the grace of God, you can do anything.  Stop being dependent on any and everything in your face to get you where you want.  You rely on God and the abilities that He has given you to beat out every adversity you come across.

And for Pete's sake, stop bringing the whole store to the self checkout...please.
